Guff got hit with a nerf, but it shouldn't be enough to rid you of him entirely, something Ramp Druid is extremely grateful for. Still, if you want to play some spooky scary skeletons, you shouldn’t have too much trouble climbing with this deck.ĭid someone say “Wildheart Guff?” What’s that? You never want to see that card again? Well, too bad.

HEARTHSTONE META DECKS STANDARD FULL
It runs the full skeleton package as control tools, before finishing off the opponent with a suite of heavy hitters including Kel’Thuzad, the Inevitable, Mordresh Fire Eye, and Sire Denathrius. The colloquially named Spooky Mage is a Mage deck that goes all in on the skeleton theme that was introduced in the Murder at Castle Nathria expansion. If you like Control Shaman as an archetype, don't be shy about giving it a chance in the current meta. This deck is often overshadowed by stronger control options in the meta, but don't mistake relative weakness for unplayability. It also has a lot of defensive tools to keep it alive until it can end the game using powerful Infuse cards like Insatiable Devourer and Sire Denathrius to close out the game. It runs Prince Renethal, and it makes full use of the extra ten cards that allows it to fit in. Spending Dust on hyped Legendaries on Day 1 is a very common mistake, and can leave you without the means to craft the actual meta Legendaries after everything settles.Control Shaman is an interesting deck. If you are a budget player, we recommend holding off for at least a few days (and preferably until the first balance patch) before committing to crafting anything. This has happened multiple times in the past, and most likely will happen to at least one or two decks this expansion too. A deck can be popular one day and then turn out to be really bad the next day. If this isn’t your first expansion then this is obvious, but be very wary of decks early in the expansion. Around Day 3, we generally tend to stop posting everything and focus on high win rate decks or decks that achieved high Legend placements. As meta forms, decks become more refined and it’s getting clear which builds are good and which aren’t. During the first couple of days, we aren’t very picky – we have no win rate statistics so early into the set, so we can’t sift through the bad decks. Once the expansion launches, we give streamers some time to open packs and create the decks, then start posting. If you weren’t with us during the reveal season, you can learn more about the expansion and see all the new cards in our Festival of Legends expansion guide. We’ll find out which one is true shortly, but either way, it should be a major shake-up. That should make a room for new archetypes to rise – or maybe for the already existing, but mostly unaffected ones to take top spots. Some of them should remain viable, but others will be only playable in Wild now. Of course, not every single of them was viable to begin with, but nearly every single meta deck is losing some key cards. It’s always a huge event – this time, a total of 583 cards will become unplayable in Standard. Since it’s the first expansion of the year, it also comes with Standard & Core Set rotations.

So if you want something to base your early crafting decisions on, that would be your best choice (it’s still not a guarantee that those decks will remain viable, but it’s better than nothing).įestival of Legends is the first expansion of the Year of the Wolf (2023). We also generally have compilations of best-performing decks in separate posts – one after ~24 hours and the second one a few days later.

This post will be updated every few hours over the early expansion period (roughly the first 5-6 days). We’ll try to add decks for all 11 classes, but it’s hard to say whether every single class will be viable.
